HSC 2025 Exam Date in Bangladesh

The wait is over! The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Jashore, Cumilla, Chattogram, Barisal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh, has officially released the routine for the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. This comprehensive schedule outlines the dates and times for the upcoming exams, providing clarity for students across Bangladesh.
Key Dates and General Information:
The HSC examinations for 2025 are set to commence on June 26, 2025, and will conclude on August 10, 2025. Practical examinations will then follow from August 11, 2025, to August 21, 2025. It's crucial for all examinees to take their seats in the examination hall 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam. The board authority may change this schedule if necessary.

Important Instructions for Examinees
- Reporting Time: Students must be in the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam begins.
- Exam Pattern: First, the multiple-choice (MCQ) exam will be held, followed by the creative question (CQ) or essay (theoretical) exam.
- For a 30-mark MCQ exam, the time duration is 30 minutes, and for a 70-mark creative (CQ) exam, the time is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- For exams with practical subjects, the 25-mark MCQ exam duration is 25 minutes, and the 50-mark creative (CQ) exam duration is 2 hours and 35 minutes.
- No Break: The exam will continue uninterrupted for the time mentioned in the question paper. There will be no break between the MCQ and CQ parts of the exam.
- Answer Sheet Distribution:
- For morning exams (starting at 10:00 AM): Unwritten answer sheets and MCQ OMR sheets will be distributed at 9:30 AM. MCQ question papers will be distributed at 10:00 AM. MCQ answer sheets (OMR sheets) will be collected, and creative question papers distributed at 10:30 AM (or 10:25 AM for 25-mark MCQ exams).
- For afternoon exams (starting at 2:00 PM): Unwritten answer sheets and MCQ OMR sheets will be distributed at 1:30 PM. MCQ question papers will be distributed at 2:00 PM. MCQ answer sheets (OMR sheets) will be collected, and creative question papers distributed at 2:30 PM (or 2:25 PM for 25-mark MCQ exams).
- Admit Cards: Examinees must collect their admit cards from their respective institution heads.
- OMR Form: Each examinee must correctly write and fill in the circles for their exam roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., on the OMR form of the provided answer sheet. Under no circumstances should anything be written in the margin or the answer sheet be folded for any other purpose.
- Passing Criteria: Examinees must pass separately in the theoretical, multiple-choice, and practical sections (where applicable).
- Subject Restrictions: Each examinee can only participate in the exams for the subjects listed on their registration card and admit card. They cannot participate in any other subject's examination.
- Exam Center: No examinee will have their exam at their own college/institution; seating arrangements will be made through transfer.
- Calculators: Examinees can use general scientific (non-programmable) calculators during the exam. Programming calculators are not allowed.
- Mobile Phones: Except for the officer-in-charge of the examination center, no one else can use a mobile phone, and no examinee can bring a mobile phone to the examination center.
Practical Examinations
The practical examinations for all subjects will be held from August 11, 2025, to August 21, 2025. All practical exam procedures, including online entry of marks and submission of answer scripts, must be completed by August 24, 2025. Students are responsible for knowing their practical exam dates, times, and locations from the officer-in-charge/principal of their respective center.
Important Note for Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice – 1st Paper
The examination for Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice – 1st Paper, scheduled for July 24, 2025, will be held at the students' own colleges. The principal of the respective college will collect the question papers from the main center at 9:00 AM on that date and conduct the examination. The exam must be taken on drawing sheets, but the center code mentioned on the admit card should be used on the title page and all other documents.
