The University of Windsor is a comprehensive, student-focused university, with more than 16,000 students enrolled in a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including Law, Business, Engineering, Science, Education, Nursing, Human Kinetics, Social Work and Faculty of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences. It has a strong student-faculty relationships, exceptional award-winning faculty and innovative staff. The Art Gallery of Windsor collects, conserves, interprets, and presents Canadian art. Its riverfront building in downtown Windsor is a place to view significant works of art by local, regional, and national artists. The gallerys collection of more than 3,000 works of art includ paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, illustrations, and videos, covers the period from about 1750 through to the present day.
The University boasts an active performance program with concerts and recitals by students anfaculty members both on- and off-campus. The School of Creative Arts (SoCA) organizes a wind ensemble, a jazz ensemble, and a percussion ensemble, as well as several vocal groups including the Womens Chamber Choir, national winner in its category of the 2008 CBC Radio choir competition.
